Reporting to the Senior Mine Planning and Scheduling Engineer, you provide the technical mine design, scheduling and monitoring function for the mining operation; ensure all work provides for the maximum machine productivities and coal recovery in the most cost effective and safe manner; design safe, cost effective mine plans and ensure they are issued ahead of time; develop optimized schedule required to achieve plans; assist senior mine planning to prepare plans and reconciliation’s following forecast; prepare appropriate mine sequence, dump sequence, topsoil dump area following monthly plan (pit design).
To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering. Have experience on mining operation practice is more preferable, with minimum of 2 years experience on Mining Engineering practice. The candidate should have Mine design concepts & operations in coal mining, scheduling, and planning skill. Having strong motivation, English proficiency spoken and written, supportive, communicative, hard worker, self motivation, team player, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.
